The purpose of Testing
Testing Reflection
In this module's lab exercise, I focused the testing phase of the Stanford Design Model on three key components: the Why, the Who and the How of testing. As our goal in testing is for the end users to evaluate, interact with and provide feedback of our prototype, I believe the three components (why, who and how) provide the foundation for understanding why testing is so critical. Our first round of testing is almost never the final round, so we must continue to learn from our users and develop to meet their needs. Cycling back through the design model allows us to focus our ideas on the users' needs and re-empathize with their key issue/problem at hand. From here we will redesign our prototypes, leading to another round of testing, which will continue until the product or services meets our users' needs and solves their original problem. Thanks for watching!
